Canine thyroid stimulating hormone, cTSH is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland, and its main function is to control and regulate the activity of the thyroid gland. Measurement of its concentration is one of the most important indicators for the diagnosis and treatment of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Hypothyroid dogs may show one or more symptoms, such as obesity/weight gain, hair loss, and behavioral changes. Therefore, cTSH testing is important for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease in dogs, and quantitative testing provides a convenient way to monitor hypothyroid dogs.
This product is designed for the quantitative analysis of cTSH in serum/plasma by fluorescence immunochromatography. Basic principle: T and C lines are drawn on the nitrocellulose membrane, the T line is encapsulated with antibody a which specifically recognizes cTSH antigen, and another antibody b labeled with fluorescent nanomaterials which specifically recognizes cTSH is sprayed on the binding pad, cTSH in the sample firstly binds with antibody b labeled with nanomaterials to form a complex, then chromatographs upward, and this complex binds with antibody a of the T line to form a sandwich structure, and the nanomaterials emit fluorescent signals when excited light is irradiated, and the intensity of this signal is related to the concentration of cTSH in the sample. When irradiated with excitation light, the nanomaterial emits a fluorescent signal, and the strength of the signal is positively correlated with the concentration of cTSH in the sample.
