Generality

During secretion, the protein is cleaved to the physiologically active BNP(77th to 108th amino acids) and n-terminal fragment NT-proBNP(1st to 76th amino acids). When BNP, which is 32 amino acids long, is secreted into the blood, it binds to its receptors (NPRA and NPRB) and regulates blood pressure through various mechanisms. NT-proBNP, which is 76 amino acids long, does not have biological activity, but because it has a longer half-life than BNP, it is more suitable as a detection indicator of various heart diseases. In the clinical testing of pets, the blood concentration of NT-proBNP in dogs is higher than 900 pmol/L, and cats are higher than 270 pmol/L, and there is a high risk of heart-related diseases. However, it should be noted that because NT-proBNP is excreted by the kidney, when the animal suffers from kidney related diseases, the concentration of NT-proBNP in the body will also increase and false positive will appear on the test.

Detection Principle

This product adopts fluorescence immunochromatography to detect the content of fNT-proBNP in serum/plasma quantitatively. Basic principle: There are T and C lines on the nitric acid fiber membrane respectively, and the T line is coated with antibody a that specifically recognizes fNT-proBNP. The combination pad is sprayed with another fluorescent nanomaterial labeled antibody b that can specifically identify FDT-probNP. In the sample, FDT-probNP first combines with the nanomaterial labeled antibody b to form a complex, and then to the upper chromatography, the complex combines with the T-line antibody A to form a sandwich structure. When the excitation of light irradiation, the nanomaterial emits fluorescence signals. The strength of the signal is positively correlated with the concentration of fNT-proBNP in the sample.
