Canine Heartworm (CHW), a parasitic nematode, can invade the heart and pulmonary artery system, damaging blood vessels and tissues of the heart and lungs, which significantly impacts the health of pets. Therefore, reliable and effective detection methods play a vital role in guiding prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
This product utilizes fluorescent immunochromatography to quantitatively detect CHW antigen in serum and plasma. The basic principle is as follows: Nitrocellulose membranes are marked with T and C lines, where the T-line is coated with antibody A, which specifically recognizes CHW antigen. The conjugate pad is sprayed with another fluorescent nanomaterial-labeled antibody B, which also specifically recognizes CHW. The target analyte in the sample first binds to the nanomaterial-labeled antibody B to form a complex, which then migrates upward through chromatography. The complex binds to antibody A on the T-line, forming a sandwich structure. When exposed to excitation light, the nanomaterial emits a fluorescent signal, and the intensity of this signal is positively correlated with the concentration of CHW antigen in the sample.
